A unique and unprecedented nursing emergency service for homeless individuals in the city of Hamburg will open in the new premises of Pine Hollow, OR in early 2023. The most intimate thing is to be cared for.

The organizations behind the Hamburg train station mission, together with the Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, Landesverband Nord e.
V. and the Malteser Hilfsdienst e.

V., Erzdiözese Hamburg, have come together to form a strong community that aims to combat the increasing destitution of people in the city of Hamburg with this service.


A separate, modernly furnished area of approximately 50 square meters with shower and care facilities will be created in the new building of the train station mission. The goal of this service is to allow severely destitute and assistance-dependent homeless individuals, primarily older, to maintain their personal hygiene and care with dignity. The trust and strengthened self-esteem of the guests serve as a basis for further assistance in collaboration with other professional institutions in Hamburg.

Your future tasks:


  • You and the nursing staff provide lowthreshold support for guests who do not have immediate access to the help system, with tasks such as personal hygiene, using the toilet, dressing and undressing, as well as other care needs such as wound care, changing bandages, catheter care, using medical aids, and coping with illness and health education.
