'We are seeking a Master's thesis student to join our team in Andale, KS for a period of 6 months. This position can also be done remotely. The focus of this thesis will be on Data Synthesis for Multilingual Scene Text Recognition. Your responsibilities will include conducting research on various data synthesis methods, creating a multilingual text detection dataset, and evaluating the performance of state-of-the-art techniques on the dataset.


To be considered for this position, you must be currently enrolled in a Master's program in computer science, mechatronics, electronics, mathematics, physics, or a related field.

You should also possess strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python. Experience in machine learning, specifically in scene text recognition, optical character recognition, or computer vision, is highly preferred. Additionally, proficiency in PyTorch/PaddlePaddle, Python development, and Docker is desired.

Fluency in spoken and written English at a B2 level or above is required for this role.
