At the Competence and Service Center CEUS of the Otto-Friedrich University Bamberg, we are currently seeking to fill a full-time position or two part-time positions (50% each) as a Business Intelligence Developer (m/f/d) with a focus on SQL Server Integration Services, ETL, application development, databases, Microsoft SQL Server, Business Intelligence, Microstrategy, data warehousing, computer science, and data analysis.

This position is initially limited to two years.

CEUS is the Business Intelligence Competence Center for higher education in Bavaria.

We design, implement, operate, and further develop data warehouse systems for the state universities in Bavaria, universities of applied sciences, and the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and Art.

Our responsibilities also include providing training and supporting decision-makers at universities in creating individual data analyses.


We are looking for a team member to support the development of data analyses and underlying data structures for data-driven analyses in the "Student Life Cycle" area, as well as providing technical support to users at universities.


Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing business requirements and evaluating potential solutions in close collaboration with users and the team
  • Implementing Business Intelligence solutions using the MicroStrategy product suite
  • Further developing database structures and ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Analyzing, monitoring, and improving data quality
  • Acting as a technical and functional contact person for users at universities
