Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Under the direction of the Director of Programs, advances the vision and strategic direction for ID Clinic programs; carries leadership responsibility over the planning and delivery of services.
  • Establishes and applies quality tools and processes to drive operational excellence.
  • Works with multidisciplinary teams to establish processes within the clinical areas, ensuring a systematic approach to Infectious Disease Clinic programs throughout the clinic
  • Organizes and monitors fiscal components for ID Clinic programs; develops budgets that meet total operations expenditures and maintains fiscal compliance
  • Ensures that program goals and objectives are met through continual monitoring of data, effective communication, and collaboration with other departments and agencies
  • Responsible for developing, establishing and implementing ID Clinic protocols, policies and procedures, and quality assurance/improvement plans in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer
  • Participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of ID Clinic programs and services
  • Directly supervises, coordinates and evaluates the work performed by ID Clinic program support staff; oversees support staff schedules and ensures proper clinic coverage for quality care
  • Lead responsibility for outreach and program development. Works to maintain reach in the Los Angeles community by developing new partnerships, strengthening current partnerships and building understanding of community needs in order to reach target populations and increase access to services
  • Monitors patient satisfaction for all ID Clinic services and oversees improvement plan
  • Creates a marketing and social media strategy to enhance reach and visibility of the ID Clinic in collaboration with the marketing team
  • Evaluates the ID Clinic Program annually and develops the annual work plan
  • Promotes communication about ID Clinic services throughout the organization. Disseminates best practices through the utilization of tools, processes, and events.
  • Carries primary reporting responsibility of ID Clinic contracts and grants, including but not limited to development of implementation workplan, ensuring compliance with funding requirements, adhering to reporting timelines, and collaborating with other departments to ensure successful implementation.

Position Requirements:


  • Three or more years of experience in administration and/or management of programs with related services such as HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, Tuberculosis, or any other infectious disease condition.
  • Ability to collaborate with high level government and other agencies with decision making and problem solving skills to develop strategic partnerships.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing and evaluating clinic programs.
  • Previous experience planning, organizing and directing the work of clinical and administrative staff.
  • Master's in Public Health or related degree preferred. Experience in HIV, STIs, LGBTQIA related programs preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience planning, implementing, evaluating, and overseeing programs and activities in primary care settings.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and some knowledge of Visio. Experience with Electronic Health Records preferred. Covid19 vaccination required as a condition of employment as required by State law. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.
