Description
The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to become even better with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3-year apprenticeship as a train traffic controller (m/f/d) for DB InfraGO AG at our location in Plauen.

The vocational school is located in Schkeuditz. If certain requirements are met, we will support you with longer travel distances (for example, financially).

With this apprenticeship, you will become a coordinator for our trains. Instead of being on the train, you will be in a control center (called a "signal box"). We have countless signal boxes throughout Germany.

Using screens or boards, you can monitor the trains in your area and control their movements using buttons, switches, and levers.

With the push of a button, you can change signals (traffic lights for the trains) to green or red, and also switch tracks so that the trains can change tracks.

You will also have many other tasks that make you the most important team member for the train drivers. You will be in constant contact and exchange information about any changes during the journey.

You will work in the greater Plauen area at a signal box close to the action. Here, you will see the trains passing by. The train traffic is usually controlled using levers, buttons, or switches. You will be part of a small team.
