Job Purpose:

The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting track vehicles in the APS-2 fleet, including M2A3, M3A3, M1A2, M109, M113, M577, M1068, M1064, M992, and M88A2, to ensure they meet all Army maintenance standards and APS-2 Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct inspections on various classifications of track vehicles and equipment at the unit level
Ensure compliance with Amentum and APS2 standards for quality, health, safety, and other regulations
Perform quality inspections and issue Quality Discrepancy Reports (QDRs) and respond to Government Non-Compliance Reports (NCRs)
Investigate complaints and violations, prepare reports, and recommend changes to improve standards and procedures
Familiarize with licenses and certifications required for operating and maintaining U.S. Army track vehicles
Conduct initial and final inspections, troubleshoot faults, and verify repair work
Maintain records of inspections and tests
Provide guidance and technical assistance to maintenance personnel
Ensure compliance with government and corporate regulations, company SOPs, and technical manuals
Communicate with QA and LAR representatives
Coordinate with Shop Supervisor for technical issues
