It all starts with an idea - Additive Manufacturing (AM) or 3D printing offers completely new possibilities in terms of complex geometries, lightweight construction, functional integration, and sustainability.

The "Center of Competence Additive Manufacturing" at Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH develops, optimizes, and manufactures AM products for all areas of the ZEISS Group.

Our mission is to further establish additive manufacturing within the Group and make the full potential of the technology accessible.

  • Active support in the implementation of development and manufacturing projects in the additive environment
  • Supervision of 3D printers in the manufacturing and laboratory environment
  • Business development activities to generate new potentials
  • Contribution and implementation of your own ideas
  • Opportunity to shape the Additive Manufacturing department and room for independent work
Your Profile

  • Degree in engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable field ideally with completed basic studies
  • Good technical understanding and enthusiasm for new technologies
  • First experiences or knowledge in 3D printing / Additive Manufacturing
  • Teamoriented work style, creativity, and a high level of initiative
  • First experiences with CAD programs (e.g. PTC Creo) or simulation software (e.g. Altair Inspire) desirable
  • Good knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
