Marketing and BD Specialist

Marketing and BD Specialist supports lawyers in identifying, developing, executing and advising on activities that generate new business for the firm, including strengthening client relationships; pursuing new business opportunities; and elevating the brand and profile for the firm, practices, and lawyers.

This position works collaboratively with the firm's lawyers and management team members on key projects to ensure coordination, appropriate leveraging of resources, consistency of approach, and effective execution of initiatives.

The position will report to the HR Manager and Executive Director.

Responsibilities/Duties:
Assist individual lawyers and practice groups with creating and executing marketing and business development initiatives.

Assists with preparing materials for meetings with prospective clients, seminars, speaking engagements, events, sponsorships, client alerts, newsletters, and other firm communications.

Creates content for social media posts, photos, videos and other firm news and announcements.
Finding opportunities to increase brand awareness of lawyers, practice areas/industries, and the firm.
Serves as point of contact and assists with strategy and execution for conferences, sponsorships, and seminars.
Develops information for use in biographies, legal directory submissions, website, external newsletters, press releases, etc.
Responsible for completing information required for awards/ranking/acknowledgment and submits to ranking agencies, magazines, etc.
Develop content for digital marketing campaigns including email, social media, and online advertisements.
Handle image creation for outgoing print marketing materials including letterhead, business cards, brochures, flyers, etc. to ensure the firm is presented professionally.

Manage social media and firm website content, mailing lists and data analytics to ensure all content is up to date and relevant.

Other duties may be assigned.
Experience and Qualification
Marketing degree or equivalent and 3-5 years' experience.
Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability juggle multiple high-visibility, time-sensitive business development, and marketing projects.
self-motivated individual who can prioritize, manage multiple projects, and function as part of a cohesive team.
be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and social media.
Able to work in person after 5:30 pm. as necessary for special events.

Physical Requirements:
periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
