- Sterilization Procedures: Perform proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of dental instruments, equipment, and supplies according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare instruments and equipment for dental procedures, ensuring they are organized and readily available for use by the dental team.
- Inventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory levels of sterilization supplies and materials, and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular monitoring and testing of sterilization equipment to ensure effectiveness and compliance with infection control standards.
- Infection Control Compliance: Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and guidelines, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with dental assistants and other team members to facilitate efficient workflow and ensure timely instrument preparation for patient treatments.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of sterilization activities, including sterilization logs, equipment maintenance records, and compliance documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in sterilization techniques preferred.
