We are currently seeking a Head of Technology (m/f/d) in the field of recycling and waste management for our holding company in Hamburg.


Veolia Umweltservice GmbH manages Veolia's waste disposal business in Germany and combines all related services: from waste logistics, sorting and recycling to the marketing of recycled raw materials.

Other service areas such as biological waste treatment, building and industrial services, as well as pipe and sewer services complement our comprehensive range of services.


As part of the future-oriented (re)structuring of the Business Unit "Recycling and Waste Management" in the central technology department, this role has been created to strategically align the business unit and further develop technological advancements.

In this role, you can expect to work closely with internal stakeholders from the Technical & Performance department within the entire company group.


Your responsibilities:


  • You will be responsible for the technical equipment of the business unit as well as the technical design of all sorting and recycling plants
  • You will ensure the strategic direction of the department (plant technology and processes), drive technological innovations, and implement innovation projects
  • Together with your team, you will develop and construct new plants and ensure the performance of existing ones
  • You will be responsible for the technical review and approval of investment projects, as well as the planning, tendering, and awarding of plant construction projects
