    Description

    Overview The cloud Network Engineer will maintain technical expertise in all relevant areas of Azure cloud networking including virtual routers, firewalls, gateways, etc.

    The candidate will propose solutions to management that meet communication requirements based on future needs and current usage, and configure such solutions to optimize cost savings.

    This is a hands-on IT infrastructure position in a dynamic and fast paced environment and require close collaboration with operations, vendors, and delivery teams.

    Responsibilities Deploys and configures Cisco Virtual Routers within cloud instances
    Deploys and configures CheckPoint CloudGuard Firewalls within cloud instances
    Performs problem isolation and resolution of network problems through troubleshooting and devising effective solutions
    Installs patches and maintains accurate records of network changes and patch/update levels
    Performs network management functions such as monitoring, maintenance, IA, performance measurement and reporting
    Performs updates to network devices including firewalls, routers and crypto devices
    Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions, policies, and procedures
    Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems
    Automate routine tasks using scripting
    Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
    Other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in related field or 5+ years of experience in Networking, Network Security
    3-5 years' experience in Checkpoint firewall Technologies, preferably Checkpoint R82.10
    2 years experience in scripting languages like Python, Powershell
    1 -2 years' experience with Azure cloud Networking technologies
    VNETs, Express Route, User Defined Routes, Network Security Groups, Azure Load balancers, Application Gateways, Azure DNS, Azure Route servers, Azure Network Manager
    3-5 years' experience with the following

    Networking Technologies:
    TCP/IP, STP, HSRP, NAT, QOS, SNMP, SYSLOG
    Expertise in routing technologies (BGP)
    Expertise in Security Technologies (IPS, Anti-virus, Anti-Bot, Proxy, Data loss Prevention, Inspection)

    Experience with IP Address Management (IPAM) solutions from Infoblox Desired Qualification Certifications of Checkpoint CCSE, and/or CCNA/CCNP Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, VA 22180 About Us You have goals, dreams, hobbies, and things you're passionate about—what's important to you is important to us.
