EMBL is a leading life sciences laboratory in Europe, with over 110 independent research groups and service teams focused on molecular biology.
We have six locations in Heidelberg (headquarters), Barcelona, Cambridge, Grenoble, Hamburg, and Rome.Our mission is to conduct basic research in molecular biology, train scientists and students at all levels, provide essential services to scientists in the public and private sectors, develop new tools and methods, and actively engage in technology transfer.
The Office of Resource Development is responsible for creating and maintaining partnerships and raising funds from individual philanthropists, foundations, and companies to support EMBL's mission.
We are currently implementing a growth strategy to expand our network of current and potential supporters in order to significantly increase support for strategic EMBL projects.
As part of this strategy, we are looking to grow and internationalize our Friends of EMBL program, which will be led by the Fundraising Programme Officer (Friends of EMBL).
Your role will involve implementing a strategy to increase the number of members and donations generated by the Friends of EMBL program, as well as expanding our supporter base globally.
In addition, you will work closely with the rest of the team to maximize the value of Friends of EMBL events and communications for cultivating and stewarding major donors.
