As a MAITRE D'HOTEL or SENIOR MAITRE D'HOTEL (m/f/d) on board one of the world's largest cruise companies, you will embark on a new adventure.

You will delight and pamper your guests in the most modern specialty restaurants, lounges, and bistros at sea.


Your responsibilities on board include:

  • Organizing and controlling your assigned area and delegating tasks
  • Being present during meal times in the restaurant and constantly monitoring menu briefings
  • Checking routine tasks such as setup and breakdown in your area of responsibility, as well as proper storage of goods and equipment according to the highest safety standards
  • Assisting the Executive Maître d'hôtel in writing and reviewing the daily work schedule for employees
  • Organizing and coordinating tasks for special occasions and additional side tasks such as onthejob training
  • Being the point of contact for guests for suggestions, recommendations, and feedback on service
  • In special cases, being flexible to work in other service areas

What you bring on board:

  • Solid education in the hotel industry
  • Several years of experience as a Maitre D' or restaurant manager
  • Experience in complaint management
  • Fluent in German and English
  • MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Organizational skills and sense of responsibility
  • Friendly manners and warmth
