DSH-Napa currently has a vacancy for a Chief of Plant Operations I (CPO I). The CPO I will organize, assign, and supervise supervisors and workers in maintenance.

The CPO I also handles construction, renovations, and repair of buildings and structures including, environmental and structural components such as windows, doors, ceiling and floor tiles, plumbing and electrical fixtures; plan and supervise the repair of plumbing, heating, lighting, water treatment, sewage disposal, air conditioning, ventilating, and refrigeration systems, including high pressure steam boiler units, gas and oil furnaces, transformers, chlorinators, compressor, pumps, condensers, steam lines, water lines, gas lines, steam traps, meters, recorders.

The CPO I provides supervision and oversight to the supervisors of the following shops:
Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, and Carpenter Shop.

Founded in 1875, Napa State Hospital is the only state hospital in Northern California for persons struggling with severe mental illness.

Classified as a low to moderate security facility, the hospital has a bed capacity to treat up to 1,362 patients on an attractive campus with treatment units located on 138 acres.
