Your tasks

As a machining mechanic, you will use computer-controlled turning, milling and grinding machines to produce highly precise components for machines.

  • Setting up: You evaluate technical documents, determine the corresponding production parameters and enter them into the manufacturing machines - with care and technical expertise
  • Manufacturing: According to technical specifications, you produce highly precise components, assemble individual components into larger assemblies and install them precisely.
  • Checking: In order to meet the exact specifications and quality standards, you carry out regular quality controls, maintenance and repair work during the production process and intervene if necessary.

School and training:

  • Training duration: 3.5 years (possible to shorten)
  • Intermediate examination in the middle of the 2nd year of training
  • Dual training: 1-2 times a week at the commercial vocational school in Wangen
