KG, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, is responsible for the company's "DNA" - all patents, trademarks, designs, and domains that shape its external image and ensure technological progress.

To ensure the protection of these assets, we manage the intellectual property rights of Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Mercedes-Benz AG, and its subsidiaries.

In the IP Defense department, we defend against infringement lawsuits worldwide on behalf of Mercedes-Benz Group AG and its subsidiaries, and advise management on the latest legal developments in this area and their potential impact on our company.

The role of the incumbent is to lead and coordinate infringement proceedings against Mercedes-Benz Group AG and its subsidiaries worldwide.

This includes selecting suitable law firms, conducting internal investigations in collaboration with various departments such as Research and Development, Sales, and Procurement, coordinating submissions with external law firms, and representing the company in court hearings as an inhouse representative.
The incumbent also supports the determination of an appropriate litigation strategy and participates in settlement negotiations.
Additionally, they track and analyze international legal developments and provide recommendations to management.

Qualifications:
