For a client in the metropolitan region of Cologne, we are currently seeking a resident physician (m/f/d) in general and visceral surgery.

The hospital is a primary and standard care facility with around 400 beds. As an academic teaching hospital, it has approximately ten specialized clinics, including a ward and a large medical center. The general and visceral surgery clinic, together with the oncological medical center, treats approximately 7,000 patients annually. The main focus of the general and visceral surgery department is the treatment of patients with gastrointestinal oncological diseases. Minimally invasive surgery plays a significant role in this.

The location is particularly attractive due to its proximity to Cologne and Aachen. Both cities can be reached in less than an hour. The city is a beautiful destination, rich in cultural and sporting leisure activities. Additionally, you have the opportunity to indulge in some shopping and relax. The marketplace offers a cozy weekly market and numerous cafes.

Your tasks - challenging and diverse

Inpatient, outpatient, and surgical care of patients
Assisting in the operating room and performing independent surgeries according to your training curriculum
Participation in the rotation model of surgical clinics
Participation in on-call duty
Interdisciplinary collaboration
