You are not afraid of wind or weather and you don't mind breaking a sweat? Then Killington Village could be not only a place to enjoy nature, but also a place to work.

The sound of chainsaw engines is just a small side effect of working in the village.

The work of forestry workers is diverse and varied, from maintaining and cultivating the forest, to actively protecting the environment, to maintaining and designing forest paths and recreational facilities.


What you bring:

  • At least a good secondary school diploma, middle school diploma or equivalent education
  • Practical aptitude and manual dexterity
  • Fitness and resilience
  • Friendliness and politeness in dealing with forest visitors

What to expect:

  • Practical training will take place in Killington Village.
  • Vocational school will be held in block lessons at the Forestry Training Center Mattenhof in Gengenbach.
  • In addition, there are inter-company training courses at the Forestry Education Center Koenigsbronn in Koenigsbronn.
  • Final exams in theory and practice at the end of the training.
