Social Pedagogical Specialist

The Schwandorf District is seeking a

social pedagogical specialist.

The position is primarily in the social pedagogical department of the County Youth Office (General Social Services) in the implementation of child and youth welfare laws (SGB VIII) and other relevant laws.

Your responsibilities would include

  • Reviewing reports of child endangerment, planning and implementing measures to ensure child welfare according to § 8a SGB VIII, including taking children into protective custody and participating in family court proceedings according to § 1666 BGB
  • Counseling parents on educational matters, including advice on separation and divorce and exercising parental authority
  • Developing care plans and ensuring their implementation for child welfare services, assistance for young adults, and integration assistance measures
  • Participating in family court proceedings
  • Collaborating with internal and external professionals from various areas of everyday life.

    • We expect

  • A completed university degree:
  • preferably in the field of Social Work (Dipl., BA or MA) or
  • alternatively, a degree as a Diplom-Pädagogin/Diplom-Pädagoge, Bachelor
