Deutsche Bahn is one of the most diverse employers in Germany. Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

Starting on September 1st, 2024, we are looking for you to join our 3-year apprenticeship program as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) for DB Fernverkehr AG at our location in Frankfurt (Main). The vocational school training will take place in block form at the Heinrich-Kleyer-Schule in Frankfurt (Main), while the DB training workshop is located in Liederbach (Taunus).
What to expect in your apprenticeship:

Become an expert in assembling, commissioning, and maintaining railway technology
Work with tools and machines to process metal, including turning, welding, drilling, and milling
Maintenance and repair of our facilities and rail vehicles
Learn about occupational safety and quality assurance

What to expect in your apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic in the workshop:

Maintenance and repair of our vehicles – for example, replacing brake blocks and fixing door damage
Tasks also include maintenance and repair of components such as bogie changers and underfloor wheel lathe machines
