YOUR TASKS
  • Duration of training: The training lasts three years. It starts on April 1st or October 1st of each year.
  • Training organization: The training to become a nursing specialist is divided into a theoretical part with a total of 2,100 hours and a practical part with 2,500 hours. The theoretical training takes place on our premises at our own nursing school, the Bildungszentrum Gesundheit Rhein Neckar GmbH (BZG). The practical part is completed in the wards of the Psychiatric Center Nordbaden and in hospitals in the surrounding area. Classes are offered in block format.
  • The knowledge base includes: Planning, organizing, designing, implementing, controlling, and evaluating nursing processes and nursing diagnostics in acute and chronic care situations. Designing communication and counseling in a person- and situation-oriented manner. Responsible and collaborative action in different systemic contexts. Reflecting on and justifying one's own actions based on laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines. Aligning one's own actions based on scientific knowledge.
  • Practical training: In practical training, you will care for people of all ages and learn about nursing work in inpatient and outpatient acute and long-term care as well as in pediatric and psychiatric care. The practical training is accompanied by full-time practice instructors.
