What does this job involve?


Electronics technicians for devices and systems plan and control processes in the production and maintenance of information and communication technology as well as medical devices.

They organize production processes, set up production and testing machines, and participate in quality assurance. They also take care of procuring components and supplies and support technicians or engineers in implementing orders.

They install and configure programs and operating systems, test components, and create device documentation, as well as layouts and production documents.

They are also responsible for repairs.

In customer service and during device repairs, electronics technicians for devices and systems identify sources of errors and replace defective parts.

They also advise customers and train users.
Where do they work?

Electronics technicians for devices and systems primarily work in medium and large industrial companies that manufacture, assemble, and maintain electronic systems, devices, or components, such as in the fields of communication technology, medical technology, mechanical and plant engineering, and measurement and control technology.
