Sibelco is a global company that specializes in material solutions. We extract, process, and sell industrial minerals, with a focus on silica, clays, feldspathics, and olivine. We are also leaders in glass recycling. Our company has over 110 production sites in 31 countries, with a team of over 5,000 employees.

We are currently seeking an Operator for our location in Lawndale, CA.


Role Purpose:
The Operator will be responsible for ensuring that our installations are operating according to established procedures and policies. They will also monitor the installations to ensure that the (semi-)finished products meet the required specifications.


Responsibilities:

  • Operate and adjust the installations according to established procedures and policies
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as needed
  • Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet process requirements
  • Identify and address any nonconformities in the production process
  • Control the amount of products produced by the installations
  • Assist with auxiliary tasks in the production process as directed by superiors
  • Enter production data into the required IT system
  • Ensure the use of personal protective equipment and maintain its safety and conservation as outlined in the safety policy manual

About you:

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to read and understand technical English
