ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPSONBILITIES include the following:

  • Support HUSD Vision, Mission and Goals.
  • Produce multimedia content for marketing, external and internal communications, and training purposes.
  • Communicate with District personnel to translate needs, objectives, and vision to optimize photography for promotional materials, literature, web, and video.
  • Communicate with Director of Marketing & Public Information to optimize photography for web, video, info graphics, and literature.
  • Collaborate with District staff to develop, direct, and shoot artistic videos.
  • Inhouse photographer for District events, including: special events, graduations, awards, and others as directed.
  • Provide support with photography for all District and school level events for use on the website, publications, and other mediums.
  • Process, edit and retouch photographs for various mediums and formats.
  • Assist District personnel with communication regarding event planning to expand District media coverage.
  • Compose multimedia content for digital/social media use, annual reports, presentations, web, awards, and statistical data to communicate information to district personnel, students and the general public.
  • Work interdepartmentally and with students and stakeholders to plan, schedule, coordinate and facilitate multimedia production to further the needs of the District.
  • Prepare interview questions, scripts, concepts and storyboards.
  • Shoot high quality video for external publication to be shared across a variety of digital and broadcast platforms.
  • Review and edit footage to ensure a high quality end product.
  • Prepare projects for rendition, compression, and packaging for proper medium.
  • Provide training and assistance with multimedia/video management.
  • Serve as additional backup audiovisual livestream support for Governing Board meetings in the event of a technician's absence
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience with professional and digital cinema.
  • 5 years + experience with Singlelens reflex cameras, photo editing, understand framing, color, and lighting.
  • Set up of 23 point lighting for portrait photography.
  • Set up of 23 point lighting for video interviews.
  • Record audio using external digital recorders, lavalier and shotgun microphones.
  • Set up and utilize a variety of videography equipment which may include dollies, Steadicams, drones, lighting, audio, and more.
  • 5 years + experience using Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • 5 years + experience with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

  • Frequent communication with staff and vendors including the exchange of accurate information.

  • Exerting force upon an object so that the object moves away from the force or towards the force.
  • Occasionally ascending or descending ladders and stairs using feet and legs or hands and arms.
  • Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent failing when walking, standing, crouching on narrow slippery surfaces.
  • Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  • Occasionally required to position body by bending body downward and forward by waist.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities including preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
  • Exposure to the following environmental conditions including moving mechanical parts, noise, and electric shock.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:
Full-Time Position - 12 months Monday - Friday / 40 hours a week


SALARY CLASSIFICATION:
Appropriate salary placement on the Classified Exempt Salary Schedule.


EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated by Site Administrator and according to District Policy.
