MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from a college or university accredited by
an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education

Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of

Education (USDE). Major course work in Environmental Sciences,

Natural Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Program

Administration, Public Administration, or a related field preferred.

Each year of full-time experience as described below may be substituted

for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on

a year-for-year basis.


  • Three years full-time, wage-earning experience in one or more

of the following fields:
air or water quality management, asbestos

management, environmental health and protection, hazardous waste

materials and management, industrial hygiene, laboratory analysis

of environmental factors, non-hazardous waste management, oil and

hazardous substance spills, preservation of natural or cultural

resources, scientific research and analysis of environmental issues,

solid waste disposal and management, waste minimization and recycling,

pollution prevention, or site remediation or restoration, program

administration, public administration, facilities maintenance, or

technical program support experience.


  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent
to include word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation

software programs preferred.


  • Experience in a governmental financial operation in one or more of

the following fields:
accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, reconciliation,

or statistical analysis preferred.


  • Technical writing experience preferred.
**The salary for an ERS Retiree (or non-contributing member) will

be $4,013.20.**The following Military Occupational Specialty codes are generally

applicable to this position. Applicants must fully complete the

summary of experience to determine if minimum qualifications are met.
