Introduction
Logistics Specialist is responsible of daily operational execution of all delivery modes transportation; inbound and/or outbound as well as direct source to customers.
This includes all transportation related activities from booking to nominated Logistics Service Provider to freight invoice review and posting, this includes possible import and/or export clearance formalities on an operational perspective.
Logistics Specialists pro-actively monitor active shipments and react/contact internal and external stakeholders when necessary. Logistics Specialists also are responsible for the activities between Logistics Centers and physical loading of the cargo.What you'll do:
Ensure timely review of the customer's RFQ and distribution of specifications to relevant parties for their input.
Review contractual terms for consistency with proposal and corporate policies.
Work in conjunction with Market Area, Global Sales Support, and Business Line to make bid / no-bid decisions and establish bid strategies.
Work in conjunction with Global Sales Support, Process Engineering, and external vendors as required to ensure a fit-for-purpose product solution is developed.
Work in conjunction with Global Sourcing to prepare an accurate overall cost estimate for the project scope by preparing inquiries for equipment and evaluating vendor quotes for technical & commercial accuracy and completeness.
Utilize CRM system (Salesforce) for documentation and reporting of proposal activities and status by maintaining up-to-date and accurate system data.
Prepare detailed and precise bid documentation in accordance with Metso standard procedures and in compliance with customers' bid requirements, identifying and documenting exceptions and clarifications.
Prepare firm offer approval requests and ensure the required documentation (i.e. Risk & Opportunity, Cost Uncertainty, Cashflow, & Project Presentation) is completed accurately and on-time.Field an answer customer questions in a timely manner.
Participate in project kick-off meetings as a hand-off to Project Management and prepare and provide a complete handover package including technical and commercial details with financial review.
Attend customer meetings as necessary to develop customer solutions and provide technical and commercial support in closing sales.Perform other miscellaneous duties and/or other special projects as required.

What You'll Need:
0 - 5 years' experience in engineering or related field
Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline relevant to the position
Experience in Proposals with OEM serving mining or other heavy equipment industries preferred
Salesforce and SAP experience is preferred
Must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport
Knowledge and understanding of Minerals capital equipment products
Fundamental knowledge of commercial and legal terms and conditions
Ability to understand engineering drawings
High degree of precision and attention to detail
Strong negotiation skills
Strong leadership skills with a bias for action
Highly organized and able to multitask and prioritize various activities to ensure timely and accurate compliance with schedule and budget requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively with customers, visitors, co-workers, management, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory inspectorsPolished customer relations and good interpersonal relations skills
In-depth knowledge of personal computers, including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PP)
Highly motivated with the ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines
