    Job Title: Product Segment Sales Manager at Granite City Electric Supply

    Description:

    Granite City Electric Supply is a leading electrical distributor, catering to electrical contractors, residential, commercial, and industrial clients in the Northeast for a century. We boast 30 branches across six states, making us the largest independent electrical supply company in the region. Additionally, we are the official electrical supplier to the Boston Red Sox.

    Summary:

    The Product Segment Sales Manager will be instrumental in the growth of our Power Installation Product business, prioritizing top-notch customer support and product quality. Responsibilities include devising and executing business strategies, sourcing products, and endorsing the product line internally and externally. The role also entails serving as a technical expert for the sales team, leveraging relationships within the company to enhance overall value, and managing various aspects such as category management, supplier relations, and sales strategies.

    Requirements:

    • Subject matter expertise in residential and commercial energization projects.
    • Collaboration with suppliers and sales leadership to drive business segment growth.
    • Development of streamlined processes for project execution.
    • Implementation of competitive selling strategies with sales and pricing teams.
    • In-depth understanding of technical and compliance aspects within the business segment.
    • Awareness of product and industry trends, cost factors, global pricing, and manufacturing processes.
    • Management of daily purchasing needs for assigned product lines.
    • Identification of promotional opportunities in coordination with the Marketing team.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • 3-5 years of experience in distribution settings.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent inventory management abilities.
