Its Resources:
Historical Reciprocities" (IMPRS-KIR) is now accepting applications for the term.

  • Each position will have a duration of 3.5 years, with the possibility of a sixmonth extension.
  • The IMPRS-KIR is a new PhD program focused on the history and philosophy of science, technology, and medicine (HPSTM).
It is a collaboration between the MPIWG and three universities in Berlin:
Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and Technische Universität Berlin. The program aims to explore the complex relationships between knowledge and its resources from a global and long-term perspective.

A key aspect of the program is the "historical-political epistemology" approach, which examines how knowledge is shaped by various resources such as political systems, technology, social interactions, material objects, and media technologies.

Knowledge is also seen as a resource in itself, playing a crucial role in defining and accessing other resources within human culture.
