Are you passionate about empowering children and making a social impact? Then we have the perfect opportunity for you: Join our Federal Volunteer Service in the Pedagogical Care department at one of our family centers in Chestnut Ridge. You will gain new experiences, make new connections, and have the chance to grow personally. Your religious affiliation? It doesn't matter to us.

You can start with us at any time, we just need a lead time of approximately 8 weeks.

Your Day in the BFD

  • You will work in an interdisciplinary team
  • You will accompany and support the children in your group. You will shape their daily routine, activities, and projects according to their needs
  • You will assist with care and household tasks
  • Participation in team meetings and in-house training sessions
  • Participation and involvement in parent events and celebrations
  • Substitute service in other groups

Your Hours

You will work full-time with a workload of 39 hours per week. Adults over 27 years old can also be employed part-time with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

You will be working with over 2,400 employees in our nearly 60 facilities. This makes us one of the largest social enterprises in Chestnut
