Student Employment with 40 Monthly Hours (Reference FG POM Project 22/1):

Job Description:

Support in the scientific research project HyMAS
Hybrid Multi-Agent System for selfregulating steel production
Direct collaboration with all internal and external project participants (POM Chair, DAI Laboratory, PSI Metals, Pumacy Technologies)
Preparation / Participation / Documentation of project meetings 10%
Research, compilation and preparation of scientific materials (academic papers and articles on the topic) 10%
Comparison of concepts for implementing selfregulating steel production with findings from scientific literature 10%
Further development of a simulation and optimization model in AnyLogic: Expansion of the model to include additional process steps in steel production 50%
Analysis of model results and test calculations to verify accuracy 10%
Creation of documentation for the simulation program (instructions for easy distribution) 10%

Expected Qualifications:

Indepth knowledge of production and service management
Programming skills (Java)
Ability to formulate optimization problems and implement and solve them using optimization software (Julia/JuMP or similar)
Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Enjoyment of working in a team
Diligence, reliability, and willingness to experiment
