The German Choral Youth (DCJ) empowers young voices

With around children and young people in approximately 2,500 choirs and ensembles, we are the largest representation of young singers in Germany. We promote musically-cultural education, participation of young people, voluntary engagement, and international exchange. In projects and educational programs such as SingBus or ChorLeiCa, we implement our focus on participation and inclusion - artistically, pedagogically, and organizationally.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for support for our professional team

  • immediately
  • a cultural educator
  • part-time up to 20 hours/week, full-time or part-time (in a master's program) possible
  • workplace: remote, Berlin, business trips to projects

Tasks

  • conception, planning, implementation, and follow-up of workshops and other educational formats on socially relevant topics such as participation of children, participation of young people, and diversity-conscious youth work in the German choral scene
  • continuous optimization of content and formats
  • accompanying events on social media as part of educational work

What we expect

  • a completed bachelor
