Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree, preferably in information technology or business.

Three years of technical and PC administration experience in a Windows environment with a user base of twenty or more.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

This position does not require a NYS Civil Service examination.


Duties Description


The State University Construction Fund (the "Fund") is currently seeking a Helpdesk Technician to join our Information Technology team at our office in Albany, NY.


The Helpdesk Technician is responsible for providing user hardware and software support for Fund staff, addressing day to day user issues.

This individual will also be responsible for managing technology inventory, deployment and decommissioning of technology hardware.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and network.
Tier 1 Helpdesk Support, responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests and escalating requests when necessary.
Providing technical support across the Fund (via in person meetings, phone or video conferencing).
Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical issues, including remote workers
Coordinating onboarding/offboarding of users.
Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.
Testing new technology.
Performing other duties as directed.
