The National Research Center for Applied Cybersecurity ATHENE supports the digitization of society, economy and public administration through application-oriented and excellence-driven research and development in the field of cybersecurity and privacy protection. The work and contributions of ATHENE are aimed at making the digital world of tomorrow safer. ATHENE is a research center of the Fraunhofer Society in cooperation with universities such as the Technical University of Darmstadt, the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt and the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences. The research and development activities at ATHENE are divided into focus areas and a management office with cross-sectional tasks, such as supporting the focus areas.
As part of cooperative research and development tasks, scientists use a variety of modern IT-based collaboration tools, such as communication, data and document exchange, collaborative writing of scientific texts, and archiving. The ATHENE management office is currently looking for dedicated specialists for the further development and maintenance of the IT infrastructure at ATHENE.
