    Description

    Registered Nurse, Full-Time


    Medcor is looking to hire a Registered Nurse Full-Time to be an onsite nurse in our employer based, occupational health clinic in Chicago, IL.

    The hours for this position are 3:00pm - 11:30pm. The position will work four weekdays and one weekend day per week.


    The positions responsibilities include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, local medical providers, client staff, and key contacts within the clients corporate structure.

    In this position, you will provide first aid care and treatment by triaging an employee after an injury following our step-by-step care protocols, and supporting the employees with wellness, education and teaching.

    You will be working independently, with support available by the operations manager and other Medcor staff remotely.

    A typical day in the life of a Medcor Worksite Nurse:


    • Administer and manage health service functions and daily clinic operations
    • Provide superior customer service to Medcors client and employees
    • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcors Evidence Based Medicine protocols, known as the Medcor Care Protocols (MCPs)
    • Build and maintain internal team relationships
    • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts
    • Collaborate with client professionals in health, safety and environmental practices
    • Collaborate with client human resources and benefits professionals on clinic issues
    • Document and manage information using electronic medical records software and other tools.
    • Pre-employment and post-offer screenings
    • Perform Medical Surveillance screening and testing
    • Case management
    • General administrative duties
    You Must


    • Be able to work independently and have good time management and organizational skills.
    • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying and current CPR/BLS certification
    • Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software
    • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
    • Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
    • Have a positive and outgoing personality
    • Be willing to go above and beyond just because thats who you are
    • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
    • Be able to have fun

    • You are comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
    • You have relevant occupational health experience
    • You have experience in emergency medicine or critical care
