As a DRIVER RECRUITER, you will be responsible for full life cycle recruitment activities to include the following:
Consult and partner with key stakeholders (Hiring Managers, Compliance, and HR Business Partners) in delivering Class A CDL Driver acquisition solutions and to ensure company and DOT requirements and regulations are being followed.
Create and design advertisements through social media and online job boards and platforms, as well as in trade publications and other print media.
Actively source and manages driver leads via inbound and outbound calls, e-mail, social media, and other databases.
Conduct phone and/or video interviews with potential drivers.
Begin the hiring process to ensure potential drivers fully understand the position, accurately complete the driver application, and meets company hiring and DOT qualifications.
During recruiting screenings, check that all applicants fit our company culture, and meet specific basic requirements before moving them to the next stage in the hiring process.
Act as the potential drivers advocate towards internal departments to answer driver questions, driver concerns, and/or resolve issues prior to being hired.
Research, plan, and organize new and creative recruiting techniques to keep up with and stay ahead of industry trends.
Analyze the results of exit interviews and makes recommendations to the Transportation Management Team.
Develop relationships with local driving schools, unemployment offices, and military installations as additional sources for potential drivers.
Work closely with current driver force for driver referrals.
Work with transportation team, human resource associates, and compliance specialist to ensure DOT compliance and company policies are adhered to during the hiring process.
Assist in employee retention and development.
Generate regular reports on the driver recruiting process, including current staffing needs, producing forecasts, improving driver retention, and other metrics as required.
Keep current on all DOT safety and compliance guidelines and recommend edits for Company Handbook and policies as needed based on those guidelines.
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:**
Develop and execute recruiting strategies to identify, source and attract high-quality candidates for driver positions.
Act as a consultant to multiple business partners regarding recruitment, sourcing, staffing, forecasting, talent planning, diversity, and internal movement.
Successfully recruit quality candidates while following all Federal Anti-Discrimination Laws.
Develop comprehensive sourcing strategies and conduct candidate sourcing for Class A CDL Drivers by leveraging multiple sourcing channels to identify and attract top talent.
Build a pipeline of Class A CDL Drivers for current position openings and future demand.
Manage full recruitment cycle and meet defined recruiting metrics for quality, cost, cycle time, and compliance/risk, all while providing a world-class recruitment experience for your candidates, assigned business partners, hiring managers, and senior key - stakeholders throughout the hiring process.
**POSITION REQUIREMENTS:**
Experience with driver recruitment platforms, i.e.: Tenstreet, JJ Keller, etc.
Bachelors Degree is highly preferred
A minimum of three years full life cycle Class A CDL Driver experience recruiting in the Transportation Industry, including thorough knowledge of DOT regulations is required
Preferred candidate will have a blend of both Class A CDL Driver and Agency recruiting experience
High level of proficiency with MS Office products to include Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
This position is considered corporate remote and will require up to 10% travel
