The German Patent and Trademark Office offers several training positions in the following state-recognized profession at its location in Munich, starting on September 1, 2025:
Administrative Assistant (m/f/d)
Specialization: Federal Administration
Administrative assistants perform a variety of interesting office and administrative tasks and support the general and internal administration of the German Patent and Trademark Office. They handle matters and payment transactions, maintain files, and prepare administrative decisions. They also serve as contact persons for departments and divisions within our organization and handle their inquiries and concerns. During the training, they will primarily acquire knowledge in the legal areas of state and federal law, public service law, and administrative law.
Throughout the three-year training, you will be trained for almost all administrative tasks. The theoretical knowledge acquired will be directly applied through diverse assignments within our organization. The main areas of responsibility include:
- Personnel matters, personnel recruitment, and deployment
- Organization
- Budget and financial transactions
- Personnel qualification and training
- Occupational health management
The practical vocational training at the German Patent and Trademark Office is supported by several learning phases in the South Training Association (on-the-job training) and block phases at the vocational school.
