Your Mission:


As an Expert Sound Designer at Infinity Ward, you will use your technical and creative audio skills to bring life to the action in our next big adventure.

Joining an award winning team, you will help create an authentic soundscape for our next AAA title from inception, leveraging your passion about modern weaponry, audio experience and critical thinking to help guide team decisions and make an impact on the overall sound of the game.

As a leader in the audio discipline, you'll strive to find ways to teach and level up those around you, while continuing to challenge and grow yourself.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the weapon sound design and implementation, including small arms and munitions.
  • Create and implement weapon sound effects.
  • Conduct and assist with field recordings.
  • Assist with audio R&D and tool development.
  • Coordinate with game designers and the audio team to reach our audio aesthetic goals.
  • Demonstrable passion for developing high quality audio and games.
  • Seek and be open to feedback and suggestions from others.
  • Be flexible and responsive to the needs of the team and value working relationships.

Player Profile

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry related experience (with two or more published AAA game credits).
  • Extensive audio recording, processing, and mixing skills particularly with weapon sound effects.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with current pro audio tools, such Pro-Tools, Sound Forge, Waves and other highend plugins, etc. as well as professional outboard gear, recording gear, and microphones.
  • Understanding of next gen console audio functionality and capabilities.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Good work ethic and a positive attitude.
  • Surround or Dolby Atmos mixing experience is a plus.
  • Programming or scripting skills a plus.
