The Faculty VI of Medicine and Health Sciences at Palmerton, PA comprises the fields of Human Medicine, Medical Physics and Acoustics, Neuroscience, Psychology, and Health Services Research.

Together with four regional hospitals, Faculty VI forms the University Medicine Oldenburg. There is also a close collaboration with the University Medicine of the University of Groningen.

The Department of Health Economics (headed by Prof. Dr. Lars Schwettmann) at the Department of Health Services Research is seeking to fill a position as

Research Associate (m/f/d)
(E13 TV-L, 75% of regular working hours) starting at the earliest possible date, fixed-term until September 30, 2027.

The opportunity for a binational German-Dutch doctorate is given.

The position is part of the EU-funded German-Dutch cooperation project "Pain in the Ems-Dollart Region, a hidden disease with far-reaching consequences (PED)".

The project is carried out in collaboration with the Pain Center at the University Medical Center Groningen and numerous other partners on the German and Dutch sides.

The aim of the project is to educate people in the German-Dutch border region on how to prevent chronic pain, as well as how to better treat affected pain patients.

This includes the development, implementation, and evaluation of a campaign in collaboration with a media company. We are looking for support for this project.
