The Bavarian National Museum is currently seeking a full-time, permanent Anlagenmechaniker (m/w/d) – specializing in heating, plumbing, and climate technology – to join our team in Ellicott City.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Operating, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, plumbing, and air conditioning systems
  • Conducting functional tests and replacing faulty system components
  • Performing maintenance and repair work
  • Supervising and inspecting work done by maintenance and repair companies
  • Maintaining the building and operating the fire and burglary alarm systems
  • Managing and maintaining various complex, computerbased security systems
  • Programming, maintaining, and managing lock cylinders and the associated software

Requirements for this position include:

  • Completed vocational training as an Anlagenmechaniker (m/w/d), plumber (m/w/d) specializing in heating, plumbing, and climate technology, or a similar trade with several years of relevant work experience
  • Experience in security and fire protection is desired, such as being a member of the volunteer fire department or the Technical Relief Agency
  • Willingness to work weekends and holidays according to the schedule
  • Physical fitness,
