Responsibilities:


The Rockford Center is searching for a Patient Transportation Driver to provide safe, efficient transportation services to patients and visitors.**Rockford Center is Delaware's first private psychiatric facility and remains a leader in providing behavioral health care services and continues its commitment to providing quality health care. Rockford Center, a 138-bed acute psychiatric hospital continues to provide a full continuum of behavioral health services to geriatrics, adults, adolescents, and children. Rockford is the only child inpatient behavioral health facility in DE, offers an experienced and tenured senior management team, and serves New Castle County and northern Maryland.


Essential Job Duties:


  • Transport patients to and from specified locations.
  • Address vehicle maintenance and repair needs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Run errands, pick up supplies and make deliveries as requested.
  • Maintain transportation logbook and other documentation associated with services provided.
  • Consistently engages and interacts with our patients and their families by using the treatment principles of Trauma Responsive Care.
  • Follow hospital safety regulations when operating department equipment.
  • Report incidents and accidents as required by hospital procedure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Support facility internal and external customer service standards.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

High School Diploma/GED. Valid State of Delaware Driver's License. Clean driving record. Minimum two years of experience in patient transportation.
