The Workers' Welfare Association is one of the six leading associations of social welfare in Germany. Due to its history and socio-political understanding, it is a welfare organization with a special focus. The AWO Kreisverband Berlin-Mitte e. V. is one of the largest providers of social work in Berlin, with over 400 employees in approximately 40 facilities.

The AWO Kreisverband Berlin-Mitte e. V. is currently seeking a
Household Handywoman for the operation of our women's shelters, starting as soon as possible. This is a
permanent position with a weekly working time of
39 hours. Part-time employment is also possible. For conceptual reasons, this position can only be filled by a woman*. The workplace will most likely be at two locations.

Job Description:

Maintenance, renovation, maintenance and care of facilities, technical equipment and furniture;
Carrying out renovation work;
Checking the functionality and safety of buildings and technical equipment;
Monitoring and participation in the maintenance of green areas;
Procurement of repair materials;
Coordination tasks;
Mandatory participation in training and staff meetings.

Requirements:

Relevant vocational training in a trade;
Respectful and respectful attitude towards people in special life situations;
Strong social skills (e.g. teamwork, conflict management, responsibility, resilience, friendliness and commitment);
Independent, responsible, reliable and careful work ethic;
