The city of Grayridge, MO is seeking several Chief Firefighters as Emergency Medical Technicians for the fire department and various fire and rescue stations.


The Grayridge Fire Department currently employs around 750 staff members and operates 6 fire and rescue stations, a control center, and a fireboat station.

In addition to all tasks related to preventive and defensive fire protection, the Grayridge Fire Department covers the entire spectrum of fire and rescue services, including emergency medical services and ambulance transport.

The training and further education of emergency medical personnel takes place at the Academy for Emergency Medicine and Rescue Services.


Your main responsibilities:

  • Multifunctional emergency service at various fire and rescue stations on a 24hour shift, including:
  • Operating as a driver for the emergency medical vehicle
  • Operating as a transport leader for the ambulance

Your professional qualifications:

  • Qualification for the career group 1, second entry level of the fire service (VAP 1.2 Feu) as well as unrestricted fitness for fire service (G 26.3, complete measles protection)
  • Successfully completed qualification as an Emergency Medical Technician
  • Possession of a class C or CE driver's license
