Responsibilities:

Conduct preliminary patient screenings, including measuring visual acuity, intraocular pressure, and performing diagnostic tests.
Assist with patient education on eye care procedures and medications.
Prepare examination rooms with necessary instruments and ensure cleanliness.
Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records.
Support ophthalmologists during procedures and treatments.

Requirements:

Experience in patient care, preferably in an ophthalmology or optometry setting.

Ophthalmic Technician Certification

Required
Proficiency in conducting vital signs measurements.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment.
Ability to handle medical billing tasks efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction.
Nicetohave skills include retail sales experience, pediatric care knowledge, and familiarity with retail math concepts.
