For our agricultural office, department of fruit and vegetable cultivation, we are looking for an

orchard consultant (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

  • Individual and group consultation on production techniques in integrated production of core, stone and berry fruits;
  • Plant protection consultation in fruit cultivation in cooperation with the regional plant protection consultation for fruit cultivation, located at the Competence Center for Fruit Cultivation Lake Constance (KOB) in Ravensburg-Bavendorf;
  • Conducting further training in fruit cultivation (training courses, pruning courses, lectures);
  • Technical consultation in the area of home and small gardens;
  • Opinions and appraisals in the private and public sector;
  • Reviewing funding measures and implementing measures from the county maintenance program;
  • Managing an orchard association.

Your profile:

  • You have a degree in horticulture, with a focus on fruit and vegetable cultivation or a comparable field;
  • Completion of the preparatory service for the higher agricultural technical administrative service is advantageous;
  • Practical experience in fruit and vegetable cultivation or orchard consulting is advantageous;
  • You work independently, responsibly, enthusiastically, customer-oriented and cooperatively in a team;
