Supervisor:
Intensive Treatment Manager.
Status:
Non-exempt, part time & full time.
Wage:
Hourly wage begins at $21.63 to $24.04, adjusted for relevant education and experience.
Number of Openings:
Multiple.
Evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available.
Our Intensive Residential Technicians provide one-on-one and group support to children and adolescents with autism and severe behavioral challenges in a residential care setting.
Duties include:
implementing behavioral interventions for Individuals Served who demonstrate severe challenging behaviors including, but not limited to, physical aggression toward self and others and property damage; assisting Individuals in obtaining greater independence and community participation; providing personal and/or medical assistance as needed; teaching and role modeling appropriate behaviors and daily living skills; teaching and supporting Individuals to independently complete tasks such as personal hygiene, meal assistance, social and leisure activities, academic programs, coping skills, appropriate waiting, and others; administering medications according to ROI procedure; providing input for developing program plans and implementing said plans; establishing a collaborative relationship with Individuals Served, families, and staff; and more.
Paid training is provided to all new hires. During your first few weeks of employment, you will take a number of in-person classes, virtual classes over Zoom, and self-paced online courses. Your supervisor will also schedule you for on-site orientations. Trainings include (but are not limited to): CPR/First Aid, nutrition, medication administration, crisis intervention, driving safety, and the legal rights and protections of Individuals Served. Trainings vary by position.
Requirements:
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must possess a High School diploma/GED. You will be required to provide proof of said education through original diploma or official transcripts.
- U.S. Work Authorization.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in at least 2 college courses relating to child/adolescent development, applied behavior analysis, psychology of learning, education and/or communication disorders.
- Approved driver status as determined by ROI.
Qualifications:
- Ability to achieve and maintain required trainings and certifications including, but not limited to, medication certification, CPR & First Aid, and physical intervention techniques.
- Ability to intervene in behavioral crises and assist with a wide array of physical needs.
- Possess effective communication skills.
- Consistently arrive on time and as scheduled to the work site.
- Knowledge of how to operate basic home appliances and office equipment.
- Work independently in the absence of direct supervision.
- Demonstrate ability to appropriately communicate to families and support staff of Individuals Served.
