Research Professor at TH Nuremberg
Are you a PhD holder looking to advance important research topics in the field of attack detection or IT forensics? Do you have a keen eye for the direction in which cyber attacks are evolving and want to counter them with something effective? Are you excited about working in a great team and want to expand and advance this area?


Your responsibilities

  • Initiating, conducting and/or supervising innovative research projects in the field of IT forensics or attack detection
  • Supervising bachelor's and master's theses as well as dissertations
  • Securing thirdparty funding to rapidly expand the "IT Security" competence cluster at TH Nuremberg
  • Contributing to technology and knowledge transfer, e.g. through publications or presentations at conferences and symposiums
  • Interdisciplinary networking with other faculties, universities, institutes and industry partners
  • Teaching load of 9 semester hours per week in basic and advanced courses

Your qualifications

  • Completed university degree in computer science or related fields such as mathematics or physics
  • Qualification for academic work (usually demonstrated through a PhD)
  • At least three years of professional experience outside of the academic sector and a total of five years of professional experience
  • Good to very good German and English skills
