Description

ONLY A FEW COMPANIES OFFER THIS MUCH OPPORTUNITY.

SHARE YOUR PASSION.
Success is a team effort. Only when experts share their knowledge and enthusiasm, can ideas flow and an innovative culture emerge. That's why we not only give students the opportunity to listen, but also to speak up and think ahead.

We, the BMW Group, offer you an exciting and diverse master's thesis in the field of data-based reliability assessment.

As a master's student, you will support us in the area of energy supply function safety concepts, specifically in the context of fault analysis and FIT rate calculation (Failure in Time) for the low-voltage onboard network.

What can you expect?

  • Your tasks will include working on a master's thesis in the field of electrical energy onboard network development. This will involve developing a systematic approach to enable fault analysis.
  • The main focus will be on circuit theory and understanding the onboard network.
  • You will analyze our collected data (current, voltage, and temperature) of the onboard network and develop a concept for fault analysis of electrical components.
  • One possible solution approach is to evaluate the most critical faults of an electrical component using a simulation model created by you.
  • Your results will directly contribute to the implementation of databased design and reliability assessment.
  • Your involvement in the research project will round off your exciting tasks.
Please note that supervision of your thesis by a university must be ensured by you.
