The Pension Fund of the Hessian State Medical Association is a partially legal entity of the Hessian State Medical Association since 2006 and, according to §5a of the Professional Law and Chambers of Health Professions Act, responsible as a professional institution for the retirement, disability, and survivor benefits of Hessian physicians.

The Pension Fund currently secures the corresponding benefits for more than members of the Chamber in a funded financing system.

It is led by the board, which sets the principles and framework for the Pension Fund's business activities and decides on guidelines for asset management.

The board consists of seven members of the Hessian State Medical Association who serve on a voluntary basis.

In addition, the Pension Fund manages its own assets and is divided into three business areas:
capital investments, insurance operations, and operational excellence.

We have big plans - and you? In the field of capital investments, we have started a phase of restructuring in recent years with the aim of creating new structures and processes to generate more flexibility in the selection of investments and optimize capital results.

The increasing complexity of products requires increased risk management, and at the same time, regulatory requirements and the topic of sustainability are gaining importance.
