- Conduct outreach activities (school events, information sessions, communication materials) to build relationships with diverse families.
- Identify at-risk families and educate school staff about the program.
- Develop and deliver engaging school-based programs (workshops, cultural events, youth events) focused on parenting skills, financial literacy, social-emotional learning, and celebrating diversity.
- Collaborate with school teams to integrate the program with prevention plans.
- Keep stakeholders informed through regular communication channels.
- Build strong relationships with families from diverse backgrounds.
- Promote program inclusivity and accessibility.
- Provide School-Based Early Support services to families for 6-12 months, addressing challenges and fostering healthy family environments for children's school success
- Conducts frequent and regular casework contact with families, adhering to ACS standards.
- Documentation for families participating in the community pathway or school-based offerings will be kept offline, outside of child welfare systems of record.
- Connect families with a full range of services (program, schools, community organizations) and advocate for them with government and private-sector services. Facilitate communication among service providers and provide ongoing support.
- Advocate for families' involvement in their children's education and assist them with meeting basic needs (income, food, housing, transportation) and accessing essential community services.
- Build trusting relationships and act as a client advocate in various settings (schools, healthcare) to empower clients and connect them with essential resources.
- Adhere to ACS and program standards to ensure fidelity in delivering the program effectively.
- Co-facilitate evidence-based parent/caregiver support groups using the Triple P model. This equips parents with positive techniques to manage challenging behaviors and build strong relationships with their children. Ongoing monitoring ensures continued adherence to established standards.
- A Bachelor of Arts (BA), Bachelor of Science (BS), or Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) degree
- Minimum of two years of experience working with families and children in a community setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey respect, compassion, and empathy to clients.
- Exceptional writing skills for clear, concise, and professional documentation, reports, and communication with various stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of relevant databases and case management systems (a plus).
- Commitment to cultural competency and anti-oppressive practice.
- Strong understanding of student support services, including IEPs, 504 plans, and SEL programs.

From homelessness prevention in Staten Island to supportive housing in the Bronx; from employment training in Manhattan to after school programs and college access in Brooklyn; from family shelter and support in Queens to increasing affordable housing across the city, CAMBA provides holistic services to help struggling New Yorkers stabilize their lives and become self-sufficient.
CAMBA's School-Based Early Support Program is a collaborative initiative with ACS designed to empower families and promote children's well-being within the school environment. This program offers a range of services and supports directly accessible to families through partnerships with local schools.

Compensation: $45,000-$48,000 annually
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
Status: Full-time (35 hours per week)
