  • Patton is a forensic psychiatric hospital and was established in 1890 and opened in 1893. DSH-Patton provides treatment to forensically and civilly committed patients within a secure treatment area. The hospital does not accept voluntary admissions.

Training & Development (T&D)


_T&D assignments are temporary assignments of up to 24 months for training purposes.

DSH encourages the use of T&D assignments to provide employees the opportunity to obtain any or a combination of the following:
